Breaking Boundaries dan Building Bridges: Penang Port Sdn Bhd and St Nicholas Home Unite for White Cane Day 2023

On 14 October 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, in partnership with St. Nicholas Home, Penang Sentral & Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) joined hands to organise White Cane Day 2023.
Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port, had the privilege of connecting with visually impaired individuals during an unforgettable ferry ride at Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU), George Town and Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH), Butterworth.
After the heartwarming ferry ride, participants from Penang Port, Penang Sentral, and KTMB took the bold step of being blindfolded. This immersive experience gave us a glimpse into the daily lives of the visually impaired, and it was an eye-opener for everyone involved. This indirectly allows them to enjoy the facilities of transportation services provided by Penang Port.
Penang Port will continue to work hand in hand with our partners at St. Nicholas Home and other stakeholders to ensure that we address any challenges and needs effectively. The inputs will shape our future initiatives and make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of the visually impaired community.
