Director

Azrul Izham

Azrul Izham was appointed as a Director of Penang Port on 25 October 2024.

Azrul is currently attached to the Government Investment Companies Division, Ministry of Finance Malaysia. He oversees the Government interest on shareholder matters, governance and corporate finance of these companies. Azrul holds a Masters in Science in National Security and Public Safety from the University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA, and Bachelor in Science in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

He has more than 24 years of experience in both Government and private sectors collectively. He serves various ministries and agencies such, Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration Department, Ministry of Human Resources and Public Service Department. Throughout his services in public sector, he held several key leadership positions such as Deputy DIrector of Immigration Selangor, Chief Executive of Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK) and Deputy Director of Akademi Kepimpinan Pendidikan Tinggi (AKEPT), Ministry of Higher Education.

Azrul has extensive experience and strong foundation in human resources, talent management, strategic planning and policy formulation, international relations, and leadership and management.
