A Myvi which was exiting the Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim ferry terminal in Butterworth spun out of control and hit the road barrier at 9.30 am this morning.

The driver escaped unhurt and Penang Port’s Emergency Response team successfully managed to clear the debris within 15 minutes. As a result of the swift action and response taken by the Emergency response team, there were no disruptions to the traffic flow at the terminal and to the ferry operations.

Penang Port would like to remind all drivers using the ferry terminal to drive sensibly and to exercise extra caution during wet conditions.
