Logos Hope, the ship with the world’s largest floating book fair will be berthing at Penang Port’s Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal. With over 400 volunteers, from more than 50 different nations, Logos Hope aims to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people around the world.

Penang Port’s Senior General Manager, Corporate Support Division, Md. Derick Basir says Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal is privileged to have this remarkable ship with her exceptional ideals berthing at SPCT. “We expect over a 100,000 people and this further strengthens our aim in making the State of Penang a tourist destination. It is our hope that the Logos Hope will not only attract the local Penangnites but those from surrounding states as well”, he says.

The book fair onboard the Logos Hope will offer an extensive variety of genres and should attract all avid readers, young and old alike. There is also an International Café, which has ice cream, drinks and snacks for sale.

Logos Hope is operated on behalf of OM Ships International by GBA Ships e.V., a private, nonprofit, charitable organisation registered in Germany. It will be open to the public from September 4 to September 27 and will cost RM1 per person to enter.
