Penang Port Sdn Bhd Promotes Unity And Health Through Blood Donation Drive 2.0

On 23rd November 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), a member of the MMC Group, reaffirmed its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), by organising Blood Donation Drive 2.0 for year of 2023, at the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT). This significant initiative aligns with PPSB's dedication to social welfare and community well-being.

The primary objective of the Blood Donation Drive is to replenish the blood bank's essential supplies, which is an important contribution to supporting the region's health system. Considering the possible impact of a blood shortage, Penang Port's proactive strategy highlights the port's responsibility to the larger community and coordination with the National Blood Bank. This notable occasion garnered an enormous response, with 89 donors from various departments within Penang Port and external stakeholders taking part. PPSB places a great value on employee cooperation, emphasising the importance of teamwork in creating acts of kindness in the community. 

PPSB expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Blood Bank Hospital Seberang Jaya for their tremendous assistance, which greatly contributed to the success of the Blood Donation Drive. PPSB, serving as a catalyst for the Northern Economic Region, will continue to collaborate on blood donation programs, thereby contributing not only to the economic prosperity but also to the health and well-being of the community.
