Knowledge Sharing: Insights from Penang Port and Sweden's Collaboration

We are honoured to welcome His Excellency Niklas Wiberg, the Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia, along with a dynamic business delegation, for a significant visit on 24 March 2025. This visit has provided an invaluable opportunity for knowledge exchange. Penang Port Sdn Bhd (“PPSB”) and the Swedish delegation shared insights on best practices, innovative technologies, and sustainable port development strategies.

Encik Syamsyul Helmy, Head of the Operations Division at PPSB, welcomed the guests and facilitated the discussion. The in-depth question-and-answer sessions, attended by senior officers, fostered a rich exchange of experiences. This visit enabled vital knowledge exchanges and explored potential collaborations.

Penang Port shared its operational expertise, while the Swedish delegation offered valuable perspectives on cutting-edge maritime solutions. This mutual learning is essential for driving innovation and sustainable growth in the port development sector. The visit concluded with a tour of our North Butterworth Container Terminal, showcasing our operational capabilities. Overall, it was a fruitful knowledge-sharing experience that paved the way for future partnerships.
