Penang Port Unlocking Potential And Empowering Women In Port Industry

On March 6th, 2024, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) proudly celebrated International Women's Day, recognising the invaluable contributions of women across the organisation. The event was aligned with this year's theme, "Inspire Inclusion," which resonated deeply with PPSB's commitment to creating an environment that empowers women to thrive and reach their full potential.
 

The day commenced with an energizing Zumba performance, emblematic of the day's purpose - unity, energy, and celebration. The performance paved the way for an empowering day filled with learning and bonding. Next, Puan Rozieta Shaary, a motivational speaker, also known as Ibu Rose, captivated the audience with her talk titled "The Empowering Woman: The Torch Bearer of a Loving World." The audience was reminded of the enormous potential women possess to be changemakers, leaders, and dreamers.
 

Additionally, an informative awareness session was conducted by the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), which equipped staff with useful knowledge about their financial well-being and the essential services provided by the organization. This interactive session empowered them to make informed decisions regarding their future.
 

The International Women's Day celebration at PPSB not only acknowledged the remarkable contributions of women but also fostered a positive and supportive environment for them to continue excelling. The event had a lasting impact, leaving everyone feeling motivated, empowered, and dedicated to achieving even greater things together.
