Inspiring Global Connections: Penang Port Hosts Japanese Youth Delegation!
29 JULY 2025, BY
On 29 July 2025, we proudly welcomed 31 enthusiastic students and dedicated lecturers from Toyohashi City, Japan, as part of the Toyohashi Global Youth Challenge 2025. Their visit, accompanied by Japanese staff and EXCO members from the Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia (JAGAM), marked a significant opportunity for cultural exchange and learning.
The day started with a scenic ferry ride from Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU), offering students stunning views of our lively port from the ferry. They then took part in an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT). It was truly exciting to see these 12 to 18 students engage with port operations and understand Penang Port's crucial role as a key gateway in the northern region.
At Penang Port, we are dedicated to fostering the next generation and encouraging global understanding. It was a fulfilling experience to share our knowledge and resources with these curious young minds, and we are proud to support their educational journey and personal development.
