Our New Sustainability Management Framework

𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊 

On 28 January 2026, Penang Port officially launched a comprehensive Sustainability Management Framework at the Light Hotel. This launch showcased our leadership’s strong commitment to ESG, aiming to inspire trust and confidence in our future sustainability efforts. 

Leadership from MMC Ports and Penang Port, including Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof and our CEO, Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, shared a clear strategy for sustainable, long-term operations. Y.Bhg. Dato' Dr Vijayaindiaran (SPPP) and Dr Ng Shin Wei (Penang Green Council) highlighted the importance of maritime collaboration in building a green economy, fostering a sense of collective purpose. 

Our Heads of Division came together to plant a Monstera, symbolising our collective commitment to embedding ESG principles into our culture. This act reflects our pledge to sustainability and our intention to nurture this value as we grow and enhance our operations. We appreciate everyone's contribution to this meaningful gesture.
