On 26 March 2026, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) welcomed Consul-General Mr. Machida Shinya and Deputy Consul-General Mr. Yazama Hideyuki during a courtesy visit, received by our CEO, Dato Sasedharan.

Discussions highlighted the Port of Penang’s role as a northern gateway in global maritime activity and touched on regional shipping challenges, reinforcing the importance of stability and cooperation.

The visit concluded with a tour of port operations, linking strategic dialogue to daily practice. PPSB looks forward to continued collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in strengthening maritime partnerships and supporting regional growth.
