Enhancing Understanding of Port Operations and Modern Facilities Courtesy Visit from Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDN) to Penang Port Sdn Bhd

On 21 February 2025, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) had the honour of hosting a courtesy visit from Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDN), led by Puan Norhaslinda Bukhari, Director of the Tax Policy Department, along with other esteemed LHDN officials. Mr. Hor Huey Chung, Head of the Finance Division at PPSB, warmly welcomed the delegation.

The visit aimed to provide insights into port operations, including an overview of the facilities and advanced equipment that support daily activities. A productive knowledge-sharing session fostered interactive discussions and valuable exchanges between both parties. To conclude their visit, the LHDN delegation toured the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT), one of Penang Port's key port installations, where they observed firsthand the operational activities that drive port efficiency.

This visit has provided LHDN an excellent opportunity to better understand the port industry while strengthening both organisations' collaborative relationships. We look forward to future partnerships that will further enhance port infrastructure and contribute to the nation's economic growth.
