Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal Welcomes Two Mega Cruises

On 27 February 2024, Penang welcomed two major cruise ships - Genting Dream and Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT).
During the event, YB Wong Hon Wai, the Penang State Exco of Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), and key stakeholders engaged with the cruise companies to discuss strategies for enhancing the cruise tourism sector in the region.
It is worth noting that SPCT underwent an expansion, which now allows it to accommodate up to 2 quantum-sized cruise ships and 12,000 passengers. This showcases Penang's commitment to providing top-notch facilities for cruise tourists.
It is great to see Penang State Exco of Tourism and Creative Economy taking proactive measures to promote cruise tourism and strengthen industry partnerships.
