Welcoming the Prestige: M/V National Geographic Orion Docks at SPCT!

We are beyond excited to welcome the maiden call of the M/V National Geographic Orion to our Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT)! This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone for SPCT and promises tremendous benefits for the growth of the port industry and tourism in Penang.

This extraordinary vessel is purpose-built for exploration and serves as a luxurious base camp for voyages to the South Pacific, Asia, the Mediterranean, and polar regions. With only 74 guests in 53 cabins, passengers experience an exclusive journey. The ship is equipped with kayaks for thrilling water adventures and features a unique undersea experience with two diving masters onboard.

Guests aboard the M/V National Geographic Orion also enjoy top-notch amenities, including a fitness centre, spa treatment room, sauna, elevator, and laundry service.

We are honoured that this visit is led by our distinguished CEO of Penang Port Sdn Bhd, Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, and accompanied by General Manager of the Penang Port Commission, Dato’ Dr Vijayaindiaran Viswalingam, along with other officials from PPSB and PPC.
