PENANG PORT FIRE & RESCUE UNIT JOINT TRAINING WITH PASUKAN GERAKAN AM (PGA)

Penang Port’s Fire & Rescue team in discussions with PDRM’s Pasukan Gerakan Am prior to the start of the training

Penang Port’s Fire & Rescue Unit recently conducted a joint exercise with the Royal Malaysian Police’s (PDRM) Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA). The one day exercise which focused on rope rescue techniques from high levels was conducted at Penang Port’s North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT).

According to Penang Port’s Head Fire & Rescue Unit Azwadi Abdul Rahman, the joint exercise was beneficial to both parties as both teams could discuss and share new ideas and techniques.

“We need to ensure that our personnel are always fit and prepared to face all types of emergencies” he said.
